WHA is a non-profit organization that embraces culture and traditions, leadership, and empowerment through developing of academic and social programming to serve Hmong-American youths, adults, and families throughout Dane County.
Our purpose as an organization is to:
- Recommend and develop policies, programs, and services to preserve and promote Hmong cultural heritage, traditions, language, arts, and values.
- To promote social, economic, cultural, and educational success for the Hmong community
- To promote, protect, and support the rights and interest of the Hmong
- To establish programs and provide services to help Hmong families to achieve economic self-sufficiency and become contributing citizens.
- To network with Local and State Government agencies, other organizations, and communities.
- Promote unity among the community.
