Purpose

The New Day New Life project began in 2023 by the Southeast Asian Healing Center (SEAHC) with a 3-year grant from the State of Wisconsin Community Safety Grant. Our focus is on increasing awareness about suicide risk and developing effective prevention strategies that resonant with Hmong and Cambodian persons.

What we do?

We provide a safe space to talk about suicide and mental health. Join us at our day center for activities that promote well-being. Share your story in a confidential and supportive environment. Connect with others through our support group system.

How can we help?

There are several ways we would like to be in touch. If we can offer support to Hmong or Cambodian persons who are having suicidal thoughts or impulses.

If you have ideas or comments about how we can reach out into Hmong or Cambodian communities.

If you know of non-Southeast Asian programs that are interested in learning how to offer help in a culturally competent manner.

If you, or people you know, are willing to take a general survey about your views of issues of suicide in Southeast Asian communities.
